Liverpool are heading into the final six weeks of the transfer window still yet to do any business.
The Reds have no doubt been held up by both the Copa America and Euro 2024 as well as trying to integrate Arne Slot into the club.
However, with both tournaments now over and Slot settling in well, Liverpool need to start getting serious.
If they are making any additions to the first-team squad this summer, they have to come relatively out of nowhere. Concrete transfer stories have been scarce at Anfield.
As fans start to wonder what the Liverpool owners are doing behind the scenes, rumours are now starting to ramp up a little.

Liverpool hold strong interest in Dani Olmo
Throughout the summer it has seemed plausible that Liverpool would sign a new forward for Slot.
Although the Dutchman has a number of good options as well as some bright young players coming through the academy, the Reds are seemingly on the lookout for one more.
Obviously, that is yet to transpire into anything definite. But, over the weekend, several transfer stories are gathering a little pace.
The first is the possibility that Liverpool will sign Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad. The Reds are reportedly readying a bid to make Kubo the most expensive Japanese player of all time.
But according to Spanish outlet AS Diario, Kubo is not the only attacker Liverpool have set their sights on. They claim that the Reds retain ‘strong interest’ in RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo.

Olmo has had a brilliant, Euros winning summer with Spain and this has reportedly led to a real clamour to sign him.
Liverpool are said to be right in the mix and are claimed to have ‘always had a good relationship’ with Leipzig, which could potentially help them.
Manchester City are in there too, though, with the Premier League champions also reportedly on good terms with the German club. Manchester United are supposedly especially keen on Olmo as well.
With the 26-year-old’s £50m release clause having now expired, it’s claimed that Leipzig are still open to letting Olmo leave, although the Spain international is said to be happy if he ultimately has to stay.
Will Liverpool make Dani Olmo signing?
As he demonstrated at the Euros, Olmo is an excellent player. Former Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann knew it before he helped Spain to knock out his Germany team in the quarter-finals.
Nagelsmann called Olmo ‘outstanding‘ during his time with the Red Bull side and the former Dinamo Zagreb man looks ready to play for a top club.
Whether that will be Liverpool somehow feels rather doubtful. You can understand why the Reds would be keen on Olmo and it’s true that they do have a great relationship with Leizpig.
The Reds have signed three players from the Germans since 2018, spending somewhere close to £150m with them. It stands to reason that they would have been taking a look at Olmo along the way.
Now 26, though, it feels like if Liverpool had really wanted him, they’d have pushed a year or two ago. Olmo will no doubt end up at a big club, but we don’t think it will be Liverpool.
