Liverpool are yet to make any kind of concrete move during the summer transfer window.
The Reds are undergoing a transitional period following Jurgen Klopp’s end of season exit.
As a result, Liverpool have given Arne Slot plenty of time to get to grips with what he does and does not need in the transfer window.
As well as incomings, this also pertains to outgoings. Some previously heading for the Anfield exit may have felt a reprieve on the way from Slot replacing Klopp.
With pre-season now almost two weeks old though, it feels like some decisions need to start being made on the Liverpool squad.

PSV Eindhoven targeting Sepp van den Berg
One of the players with the biggest question marks around his future this summer is Sepp van den Berg.
Van den Berg excelled while on-loan at Mainz last season, leading to suggestions that he could make the jump to the first-team.
But with Liverpool looking slightly light at centre-back, there is a clear route to the team for the 22-year-old.
Slot has been impressed with Van den Berg so far, and with the Reds having now missed out on signing Leny Yoro, it feels as though the Dutchman has a real shot at being part of the team.

However, Van den Berg has expressed a desire to leave Liverpool. This has led to significant interest in the Netherlands U21 international, with the Reds reportedly rejecting some low-ish offers so far.
According to Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink though, the interest in Van den Berg is not going away. Taking to X, Elfrink reports that the centre-back is the ‘top target’ for Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven.
“Liverpool want around 20 million euros [£17m] for Sepp van den Berg,” says the reporter.
“PSV wants that price to be reduced by several million and is prepared to go far. For the time being, Van den Berg remains the top target to further strengthen the defence.”
Liverpool should keep Sepp van den Berg
Wednesday brought bad news for Liverpool fans. After it had initially looked as though he would be joining Real Madrid, Yoro instead chose Man United.
Liverpool were in the mix to sign Yoro just in case he did not join Real. To have been beaten to the 18-year-old by United will certainly sting.
However, in our opinion, all is not lost. We’d suggest that part of the reason Liverpool did not go harder for Yoro was that Slot has faith in Van den Berg.
The former PEC Zwolle defender has earned his stripes while out on-loan and from our point of view he deserves his chance.
If Liverpool can get something close to the £17m mark for Van den Berg then they may see it as good business and let him go. But we really think Sepp should now be kept around.
