Liverpool transfer target Leny Yoro looks set to make a decision on his future.
Yoro has been one of the breakout youngsters in European football over the last year, excelling in Lille’s defence aged just 18.
Having impressed so thoroughly, Yoro caught the attention of Liverpool. However, the Reds are far from the only team to have been enamoured by the Frenchman.
Real Madrid have long been favourites to land Yoro and up until recently it had felt an inevitability that the 18-year-old would be heading to Spain.
However, after Man United had a bid accepted for Yoro last week, the landscape changed a little. There were even claims that Liverpool were prepared to match the Yoro offer.

Leny Yoro set to make transfer decision
Despite United coming to an agreement with Lille, Liverpool are still yet to react.
It had be suggested that Liverpool would pounce on Yoro if he gave an indication that he was wavering in his desire to join Madrid.
And according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, that could be exactly what is now happening.
Liverpool had expected Yoro to join Real. However, with United moving firmly to cut the European champions off, Plettenberg says that the France U21 international now has a decision to make.

Taking to X, the German reporter claims that Yoro is still yet to make his choice as the two giants circle him.
“As reported and now confirmed again: Leny Yoro will decide between Real Madrid and Manchester United! No decision has been made yet,” he says.
Although Yoro is seemingly not quite as firm on Madrid as he once was, Plettenberg reports that Liverpool are currently not involved in the race to sign him.
“Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are out of the race at the moment,” he says.
Liverpool track Mohamed Simakan as Leny Yoro alternative
It does not make a whole lot of sense that Liverpool would drop out of the race as soon as there’s a sign that Yoro may not sign for Madrid.
There have been previous claims that Liverpool see Yoro as a generational talent. If the chance is there to get him – and let’s remember that they do need a new centre-back – they have to take it.
Nevertheless, there are other options still out there, too. Reports on Monday claimed that Liverpool are tracking Mohamed Simakan as a potential new addition.
Although he does not come as highly rated as Yoro, Simakan still looks like a very good prospect.
Ultimately, it’s hard to deduce that after all the rumours, Yoro was not the main target at Anfield this summer. But if they can’t get him, they have to make sure they don’t leave the summer empty-handed.
