Liverpool are keeping their options open in the transfer market this summer.
Although they may usually have been expected to get some business over the line by now, the Reds have been especially quiet so far.
With pre-season well underway at the AXA Training Centre, Liverpool are yet to make a single signing for Arne Slot.
There is still plenty of time left for that to change, though. The Liverpool squad could do with a bit of tweaking here and there and there are players out there who could make a difference.
As they weigh up what do, the Reds appear to have plenty of plates still spinning, including for one long-term Premier League target.

Liverpool still in contention to sign Pedro Neto
There is still an air of mystery surrounding Liverpool’s summer business. The Reds have seemingly done a very good job in keeping their top targets under wraps.
Liverpool want a forward though, and from what has previously been reported, there are certain players who we know the Reds do like.
One of them is Wolves wide man Pedro Neto. Neto has been on Liverpool’s radar for years, with interest ramping up in the build-up to this summer’s window.
After a good – if a little injury-hit – season with Wolves, there were claims in February that Liverpool are plotting a move for Neto.
And according to journalist Graeme Bailey, Liverpool’s interest in the 24-year-old is still very much there. However, speaking exclusively to Rousing The Kop, Bailey does concede that the Reds are perhaps not the current favourites to land Neto.

“Pedro Neto is one who is garnering a lot of interest from around the league,” says the reporter.
“Liverpool like him, they’re in the mix. I think he will be leaving Wolves this summer and he’ll cost £60m. We’ll see where he ends up, I don’t think there’s particularly a favourite yet,” adds Bailey.
“Wolves will let him go but I think he’s got a lot of options out there. I’ve heard Chelsea have come on strong again, Liverpool do like him and are doing their homework on his situation.
“Recently in the last few weeks it’s been more Newcastle and Tottenham talking to Neto, but Liverpool are keeping abreast of the situation.
Should Liverpool push to sign Pedro Neto?
As Liverpool prepare to plan for life after Mohamed Salah in the near future, you can see why Neto would come into the conversation.
The Portugal international is still a good age for Liverpool, is not completely overpriced and has plenty of Premier League experience, too.
The one big, black mark against Neto is his injury record. Neto has not managed more than 20 Premier League games in a season for the past three campaigns. That is a worry.
When he does play, Neto can be electric at times. But he also is far from being a prolific forward in the mould of Salah.
As a result, if Neto is to go this summer, then we don’t think he’s done quite enough for Liverpool to justify his signing. He could prove us wrong, but Spurs, Chelsea or Newcastle would look more like his level right now.
