Liverpool manager Arne Slot will have finally gotten a good look at some of his new players after they returned for pre-season.
A total of eight players returned to Merseyside for the first session under the new boss, with the hard work now underway.
Slot will, of course, have to wait some time in order to have everyone available, with many players still on international duty.
And those currently not playing at the likes of Euro 2024 and Copa America are on holiday after their extended time on the pitch this summer.
Slot therefore won’t know exactly what needs to be done in the transfer window, but the Dutchman should have a rough idea.

Liverpool have question marks over Luis Diaz
David Ornstein reports that Liverpool are in the market for a new wide player this summer, with the club’s chances of signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle ‘still alive’.
That could, however, coincide with the exit of current winger Luis Diaz, with The Athletic now reporting that there are question marks over the Colombian’s output.

The publication noted that Liverpool will be obliged to consider a significant offer for the 27-year-old, should it arrive this summer.
The Athletic added that the Reds now face a dilemma over the player they signed from Porto for £37million, with the club unsure whether to cash in if such a bid arrives or prepare for talks over a new deal.
Liverpool must choose Luis Diaz over Anthony Gordon
Diaz perhaps has not been at his very best in a Liverpool shirt in recent times, but his ability is there for all to see.
The winger has stuttered in the final third at crucial moments, but his pace and skill are often unstoppable when he truly gets going.

The Colombian can undoubtedly improve his finishing, but he has been scoring at Copa America, with two goals in the competition so far.
Gordon meanwhile has certainly improved his goals and assists tallies since moving to Newcastle from Everton, but he does not have the same experience as Diaz.
The Magpies may, therefore, be one for the future, but the Colombian attacker can be a superb player under Slot should he bring his international form to Anfield.
