Liverpool fans have finally been given a first glimpse of Arne Slot as their new head coach.
Despite being announced as Jurgen Klopp’s successor a month ago, Slot had still yet to be seen since signing on at Anfield.
That all changed on Wednesday when the Dutchman was presented at the AXA Training Centre.
It was a good first impression from Slot, who spoke warmly of Klopp and detailed what he’d seen from Liverpool training sessions.
And as the 23rd manager in the club’s history gets himself settled in, Liverpool legend Jerzy Dudek has given his reaction.

Jerzy Dudek offers Arne Slot reaction
Dudek is actually in quite a unique position to know what to expect from Slot. As well as being a former Liverpool player, the legend of Istanbul also turned out for Feyenoord during his playing days.
Just like Dirk Kuyt, Dudek therefore has a double reason to be excited about the appointment of the former De Kuip head coach.
Kuyt recently admitted that he is ‘a bit excited‘ about the prospect of Slot taking over at Anfield and Dudek appears to feel exactly the same way.
Fascinatingly, one each of Slot, Dudek and Kuyt were involved in each of Feyenoord’s last three Eredivisie title wins.

Dudek played every single game on the way to winning the division in 1999, Kuyt captained the side to victory in 2017 and Slot managed the Rotterdammers in 2023. Amazing.
For Dudek, he will always be more synonymous with Liverpool given his heroics in Istanbul in 2005.
And as the Reds welcomed Slot with an Instagram post of him holding up the new kit at the training ground on Wednesday, the Polish goalkeeper offered his support.
“In Arne Slot we trust,” Dudek wrote, alongside a love heart emoji and an accompanying hashtag of “BOSS”.
What next for Arne Slot at Liverpool
Up until Wednesday, there had been a real feeling that Liverpool were yet to properly draw a line under the Jurgen Klopp era.
Now that we’ve heard from Slot, it feels like we can all properly move on and look to the future.
Obviously, with the summer break still ongoing, it will be a little while before we see the new head coach in training with his first-team squad.
There is a tour of the USA coming up next month but players returning is still a few weeks away.
As a result, full focus is on the transfer market for the moment. It remains to be seen exactly how active Liverpool will be, but there’ll hopefully be one or two additions at least.
In the meantime Slot will continue to settle in as he receives the well-wishes of fans and former players alike.
