Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City continue to trade blows in this pulsating Premier League title race.
The previous Sunday, both Liverpool and Arsenal handed the initiative to the current holders by losing to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, respectively.
But this past weekend, they made sure to put that pressure back on, with Arsenal claiming a deserved win at Wolves, whilst Jurgen Klopp watched his team put three goals past Fulham.
By the time Manchester City kick off again in the Premier League – Thursday night against Brighton – they could be four points behind their title rivals.
Yes, they will have two games in hand, but pressure is pressure at the end of the day and you never know how Pep Guardiola’s side might react.
Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to his best against Fulham by scoring a brilliant free-kick at Craven Cottage.
The England right-back added that the title race is ‘exciting’ and that ‘these are the games you love to play’, as he told Premier League Productions (21/04/24 at 7:00 pm).
Usually, it’s Manchester City and one other that is involved in a title race – if they haven’t wrapped it up already.
But as Alexander-Arnold pointed out you ‘very rarely’ see three teams battling it out for the title.
Premier League title race
“100%, (we have to win all our remaining games), but It’s exciting,” said Alexander-Arnold about winning the title.
“You have great teams who are playing outstanding football. I think, for the neutral, it’s going to be one of the most exciting seasons. You very rarely see a three-horse title race, so it’s going to be exciting and I am certainly enjoying it as much pressure as there is.
“These are the games you love to play and these are the games you want to play in and help the team win. They are the ones that matter the most.”

Midweek games
This is a huge, huge week in the race to become champions and you feel more points could be dropped given the type of games that are being played.
Liverpool have the small matter of the Merseyside derby against Everton, but Arsenal have two London derby games – Chelsea and then away at Tottenham.
The Reds will also be in the capital at the weekend when they take on David Moyes’s struggling West Ham.
As for Manchester City, they face Brighton on Thursday and then travel to the Midlands for a clash against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest.
You just feel a few more twists and turns might be on the cards and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it happens this week.
