Dominik Szoboszlai on the moment that made him cry last year

Szoboszlai is not known to be an emotional person. He is very cool, calm and collected on and off the pitch.

Even in hugely emotive moments, he is the person who can be trusted to keep his calm. That’s why he is the captain of his nation, and that’s also why he has been trusted to take crucial penalties both for his country and RB Leipzig.

Even when Neymar taunted him in the Champions League before Szoboszlai took a decisive penalty for RB Leipzig against Paris Saint Germain in the final few minutes of the match, he never succumbed to his jibes.

But even Szoboszlai has an emotional side to him and in an interview with Spiler TV, the Hungarian was asked about his highlight of 2023, and revealed it was the moment in which he led his country to Euro 2024 qualification.

“It was a huge weight off my heart,” Szoboszlai said. “I have never cried with joy in my life, but I did it then.”

Of course, I wasn’t sad when I signed for Liverpool either, so those two moments are the most memorable for me.”

Dominik Szoboszlai is Liverpool’s future

Liverpool have signed a real gem with Dominik Szoboszlai. At 23-years-old, he already has great leadership qualities, and he’s shown his ability on the pitch as well.

This season he has scored seven goals and registered five assists for Liverpool in all competitions. That’s a really good return, and he’s only just getting started.

We haven’t even seen the best of him yet.
