One international manager has said his player has played ‘outstandingly’ at Liverpool and surprised many observers in England.
When Liverpool signed four midfielders last summer, there were more question marks among supporters than excitement.
On paper, Liverpool had gotten four exciting midfielders. However, three of them were untested in the Premier League.
The other in Alexis Mac Allister was a player who has never played for a big club like Liverpool. Although at least he not only had Premier League experience but also a World Cup winner’s medal.
The rest though, Liverpool fans were not really sure how they would perform until they started wearing that red shirt and playing in England’s top flight.
Thankfully, they have quashed the club’s supporters’ doubts completely and Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai in particular have surprised many.

Marco Rossi explains how Dominik Szoboszlai has surprised many in England
Szoboszlai in particular has been a really great addition to Liverpool. When he took over the number eight at Liverpool, it was a big decision from the 23-year-old.
However, he has not let the weight of expectations hold him down. If anything, he has thrived under the pressure and has really caught the eye.
This season Szoboszlai already has 12 goal contributions, which is a great return for a Liverpool midfielder. Only Alexis Mac Allister has a better return this season.
Speaking in World Soccer magazine’s June edition, Szoboszlai’s international manager, Marco Rossi was asked about what he made of the Liverpool midfielder’s time in England so far.
“At the beginning of the season, he played outstandingly,” Rossi said.
“He surprised many observers in England and abroad. He then played some lesser matches and afterwards suffered a small injury. Now, he’s back. Against Sparta Prague, not a very difficult opponent for Liverpool, he played very well. He returned to action and I think he’s in a good mood.”
Is Dominik Szoboszlai out of form?
There’s a notion among Liverpool supporters that Szoboszlai is out of form at the moment. He has not been included in two consecutive starting XI’s for Liverpool.
But the reality is Szoboszlai has been playing good football in general. The energy he provides for his team is excellent to the way Klopp’s system works.
He may not have been his best version in the last few weeks, but it’s absolute nonsense to suggest he is out of form yet.
