Liverpool still haven’t lost a game when ‘world-class’ player started in the PL this season

Liverpool have definitely been the surprise package in the Premier League this season. After the way Jurgen Klopp’s side collapsed last season nobody expected them to rise up from the ashes. Especially after what critics at the time claimed was a chaotic window for Liverpool.

But the Reds have proven all of them wrong. They’ve bounced back remarkably from the setbacks of last season and have been one of the best teams in the league.

That is why Klopp’s side is still fighting strong on all fronts at the moment. With one trophy already in the bag, and more to follow. Of course the big one Liverpool want is the Premier League. That is the most sought after trophy. And in the Premier League, one player has been crucial for the Reds since he arrived at the club last summer.

Wataru Endo has been the key for Liverpool

So far this season, Liverpool are still yet to lose a game that Wataru Endo has started in the Premier League for the Reds. It’s now been 12 games that the Japanese international has started, and in that time Liverpool have won nine games and drawn three.

Endo has played a key role in that success. He’s come in and solidified the Liverpool midfield. Earlier on in the season, there was a bit of a question mark about him. Klopp preferred to play Alexis Mac Allister in the holding midfield role.

However, when the Argentine was injured, Endo stepped up in his absence and he has put in some excellent performances. It’s no surprise that after the Manchester City game at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp even lauded Endo as ‘world-class’.

All the people who questioned Endo’s signing have well and truly been silenced now. The 31-year-old could go down as one of the biggest masterstrokes of the Klopp era.
