Liverpool only played Manchester City a few days ago. But the Reds are already back in action tomorrow up against Sparta Prague. It’s a game where Liverpool have a healthy advantage to take back to Anfield.
The Reds are already 5-1 up in the fixture, and that means given the comfortable score line Jurgen Klopp will have some wiggle room to rest players. With players bound to be tired from Manchester City last weekend and a big game at Old Trafford coming up, there will be much needed rest for some.
It will also be an opportunity for others to make their mark. Already, we have seen a plethora of young players impress in the first team recently. Now there may be others who could also be involved in the game against Sparta Prague tomorrow. Including a 17-year-old, who could make his first team debut.

Carter Pinnington could get his Liverpool debut
Currently Liverpool only have three senior centre-back options, and one of them is Jarell Quansah. That meant last weekend against Manchester City Amara Nallo was included on the bench. The 17-year-old probably would have a strong chance of featuring against Sparta Prague if he wasn’t ineligible for the tie.
As per UEFA rules only players who have spent at least two years at the club can be registered to Liverpool’s B squad in the Europa League. That disqualifies Nallo, who only arrived from West Ham last summer.
It could however mean that Carter Pinnington, who has played alongside Nallo in the Liverpool U21 team could get his chance instead. An equally highly rated defender. Pinnington has been described by Liverpool’s U21 coach, Barry Lewtas recently as ‘fantastic’ (Liverpool’s official website).
He’s comfortable on the ball, and only just recently turned 17-years-old. Unlike Nallo he hasn’t quite been involved with the first team as much. However, given Liverpool’s lack of options, it would not be a surprise to see Pinnington handed an opportunity by Jurgen Klopp.
