Liverpool’s loan transfer policy received a lot of criticism in the January transfer window. Back then, the club recalled players from several loan spells that were not working out. However, most of those players were then sent on loan again.
The reality is that Liverpool’s loan transfer policy has been working really well. Recent examples of Conor Bradley, who thrived on loan at Bolton Wanderers, and Jarell Quansah, who was at Bristol Rovers last season are examples. Both of them excelled in League One, and then used their experience at senior level to return to Liverpool and establish their place in the club’s first team.
Before that, Harvey Elliott benefited from a similar spell at Blackburn Rovers. Meanwhile, now players like Luke Chambers are catching the eye while on loan at Wigan Wanderers. He is of course, not the only Liverpool loanee in impressive form. There are two Jurgen Klopp has just spoken about, who have also been in good form as well.

Jurgen Klopp on Fabio Carvalho and Tyler Morton
Speaking in his press conference ahead of Liverpool’s FA Cup fixture against Southampton, Klopp was asked about Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho. The Liverpool boss revealed he was very happy with the progress of the two loanees.
“Really cool,” Klopp said as per the club’s official YouTube channel.
“And Fabio is doing really well. Tyler is doing really well. I’m so pleased for them. It’s massive. So nice to see Fabio completely confident again. Both are pretty dominant players playing pretty much in the centre of the team being quite involved in a lot moments so it’s really cool to see both develop. It’s fantastic, really happy.”
Both Carvalho and Morton are on loan at Hull City. The latter joined the club in January and has recently scored in two successive games. Morton meanwhile has been at the club since the start of the season, and has been a regular starter throughout the campaign.
Based on what they have shown so far in Hull colours, and how highly Klopp has spoken about them, both still very much have a future at Anfield.
