No one will be prouder after last night than Neil Danns. The former Premier League footballer and captain of the Guyana national team witnessed his son, Jayden Danns make his debut for Liverpool against Luton Town.

It was some debut as well from Danns. He only came in for the last few minutes of the game, but made those minutes count. One of his first actions was to reprise possession in Luton’s half and send a brilliant through ball to Cody Gakpo, which ultimately led to Harvey Elliott scoring Liverpool’s fourth goal.

Credit to the 18-year-old, he made his mark and left an indelible impression on the Anfield audience. He’s also etched his name in the history books for Liverpool. Danns became the 11th youngest ever debutant in the Premier League in the history of Liverpool, beating Trent Alexander-Arnold to the distinction by a month and two days.

Understandably, his father Neil, who will have played at Anfield in the past himself, was extremely proud of his son last night. And he took to Instagram to share his emotions.

Taking to Instagram, Neil, spoke of his pride about Jayden Danns’ achievement, and explained just how hard his son has been working to make his ‘dream’ come true.

“Where to start,” Danns wrote on his Instagram caption.

“Tonight was one of the proudest nights of my life. To see you achieve the first steps of your dreams fills my heart with pride . To watch you work and work for your goals is a privilege to be part of. Proud of you son keep pushing . Love you.”

That’s a touching remark from Neil to his son. It’s clear Jayden has been dreaming about this moment for years and it’s nice to see him accomplish his dreams. The Liverpool youngster is highly rated within the club’s academy ranks. We are excited to see what the future holds for the 18-year-old. He looked so comfortable on the pitch coming up against a tough physical opponent in Luton Town, we are certain this is just the beginning of something special.
