It was a night to remember for Liverpool fans. It was a night to remember for many of Liverpool’s young players. Yesterday’s game vs Luton Town was a special occasion. One that could go down as one of the best victories in the Jurgen Klopp era, given the circumstances around the game.
It was also another game where the Anfield crowd played a huge role. In the second-half, the Liverpool supporters seemed to come alive, and that created a special atmosphere inside the stadium. The kind of atmosphere that inspired the players to score four goals in the second-half.
Jurgen Klopp was unsurprisingly very impressed watching on from the sidelines. He knows he has created a special group of players. Full of talent and exciting potential. A team the Liverpool manager can be absolutely proud of. But it wasn’t just Klopp who will have been impressed by the performances on the pitch. A former Barcelona manager was spotted watching the game from the crowd. He too will have been pleased by what he saw.

Ronald Koeman was spotted in the crowd
Former Everton and Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman was spotted in the Anfield crowd by the TV Broadcast during the game. At first glance it may have been strange to see Koeman appear on the broadcast footage.
However, in reality, he is currently the manager of the Dutch international team, which explains his presence at Anfield. After all, three Dutch players started the game for Liverpool alone. Two of them in Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo scored. Meanwhile, Ryan Gravenberch put in a solid performance in the middle of the park. Meaning Koeman must have been pleased by what he saw.
This wasn’t Koeman’s first appearance at Anfield recently either. The former Barcelona manager was also there to witness Liverpool vs Chelsea in the Premier League late last month.
Liverpool’s Dutch players are in good form right now. Gakpo and Van Dijk are mainstays in the national team, with the latter being the captain. However, Gravenberch should not be knocking on the door as well after another impressive performance.
