Things don’t get any easier from now until the end of the season for Liverpool. The games will just get tougher and tougher as a lot more becomes at stake for every opponent.
We are now approaching the talent end of the season. It’s the part of the season when games will start to come thick and fast – and very quickly teams will fall out of contention and have their fates sealed. It’s the time in the season when everything will be determined. Which is exactly why Liverpool cannot afford anymore slip-ups. Especially not after what happened against Arsenal a couple of weekends ago.
It won’t be smooth sailing for the Reds either. Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to fight for every result, and sometimes do even what has never been done before. Including against Brentford this weekend – when Liverpool must pull off something they have never done under Klopp nor in the history of the club.

Liverpool must do something for the first time
Brentford are relatively newcomers to the Premier League. For much of the club’s history, Brentford has been on the fringes of England’s top flight. They’ve spent a lot of time playing in the second and third tier – but over the last decade have grown tremendously.
Under Thomas Frank’s leadership not only did Brentford earn promotion to the Premier League but they’ve also become stable members in the competition. They’re a team who are extremely hard to beat and Liverpool have found that out first-hand.
While games at Anfield have been relatively easy, Liverpool haven’t been able to beat Brentford away from home since they’ve returned to the Premier League. In fact, since Brentford moved to their new stadium – Gtech Community Stadium – Liverpool have not beaten them there ever.
So if Klopp’s side wants to be successful this weekend – they must do something that they’ve never done before. And something that Liverpool hasn’t even done in its own history.
