We don’t want to talk about it. It’s the elephant in the room. But sooner or later. it has to be addressed. Sooner or later, Mohamed Salah will eventually leave Liverpool Football Club. We’d like that to be in several years, not this summer of course. But you just never know what the future brings. Who would’ve thought Jurgen Klopp would be leaving the club a few weeks ago? Not many.

If and when Salah leaves, Liverpool need to be prepared. The Egyptian is one of the most important players in Jurgen Klopp’s team. He has carried Liverpool on his back at times over the last few years. And he is up there with the best players in the world right now.

Which means he will need to be adequaetly replaced when the time comes. With someone who is ready to come in and take his place in the team straight away. Someone who is already Premier League proven and has experience competing against teams at the highest level.

Pedro Neto is the perfect Mohamed Salah heir

Who better to replace Salah than Pedro Neto? He’s been playing in the Premier League for several years now, and he’s proven himself against the best defenders in the world. With his speed and ability on the ball he can beat any opponent in the league.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, he is on Liverpool’s radar. Which isn’t really a surprise considering Liverpool like to play quick explosive attacking football. Something Neto would suit to a tee. Especially since he was recently recorded having the third highest top-speed in the Premier League, just above Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

But he’s also been in good form in front of goal. He’s got 13 goal contributions in 18 games in all competitions this season. That’s an average of a goal contribution every 108 minutes, which is not a bad return playing in a side like Wolves.

Only 23-years-old as well, Neto will only improve and get better. He simply seems like the perfect option for Liverpool. And it would not be a surprise to see the Reds pursuing a move for him in the near future.
