Amid all the noise surrounding Jurgen Klopp’s departure, there are still games to be played for Liverpool. And it doesn’t come bigger than Chelsea at Anfield tonight.

Liverpool are still fighting on all four fronts, including the Premier League. These are the games that are imperative to win for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Games that could very well decide the entire fate of the Premier League title.

Which is why Klopp is expected to field a strong side tonight. A side that should include three key returning players according to Paul Person.

Paul Merson on Liverpool vs Chelsea

Writing for Sky Sports, Merson predicted that Liverpool will have three key players coming back into the side for this game.

“I think there will be changes for Liverpool,” Merson said. “If Trent Alexander-Arnold is fit, I think he will play, Conor Bradley has been absolutely brilliant, Dominik Szoboszlai, if he is fit I think he will come in, Alexis Mac Allister will be coming in from the weekend, so they could be strong.”

Merson is probably right. Liverpool need the big stars to come into this game. It will be extremely harsh on Conor Bradley if he is dropped. However, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s experience is just so vital in these kind of games. He is the vice captain for a reason.

Meanwhile, both Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister have been different class since they’ve arrived at Liverpool. So they’re two obvious choices when it comes to who should start the game.
