Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool was a huge shock. Even though the club’s owners had known about it since November, to most people at Liverpool – the announcement came out of nowhere.
Having been such a key pillar of Liverpool for the last nine years, Klopp provided a lot of stability. But now his departure throws up a lot of doubt. There is already a bit of uncertainty around the club. Uncertainty which means no one is really sure what the future holds for them.
The truth is no one is immune to the impact made by Klopp’s announcement. Everyone at Liverpool is in a vulnerable position. Until a new manager and a new sporting director is decided at least. Including members of the club’s backroom staff.

Two more people could leave Liverpool
In fact, especially members of the club’s backroom staff. Depending on who is announced as the next manager of the club – they may want to bring in their own people. That means it might be a very uncertain time for some.
According to the Daily Mail, two people who could now leave and face uncertain futures right now are fitness guru Andreas Kornmayer and other coaches, such as John Achterberg. Both have been at the club for a long time, so the gravity of the fact that they are facing uncertain futures cannot be underestimated.
It just goes to show the extent of changes that are being proposed. Klopp’s departure will have a domino effect. It’s already been announced that the likes of Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz and Vitor Matos will leave the club as well. Jorg Schmadtke will leave, too.
More will likely follow suit. Liverpool are embarking on the biggest changes around the club for over a decade. It’s change that is now necessary. But equally exciting and daunting.
