Manager is privately telling his club not to sell 24-year-old who’s been linked with Liverpool

Amid Jurgen Klopp’s announcement last week, it’s difficult to forget that there is still a transfer window going on. But the window is still open for a few days, and there is an outside chance Liverpool could make a move.

Given the uncertainty Klopp’s announcement has had on the future of the club, it is moot whether Liverpool will look to make a move. What is far more likely that the activity will be conducted in the summer when the Reds have a clearer picture of who the sporting director and new manager will be.

This could bode well for Liverpool in their pursuit of an exciting 24-year-old midfielder. Who his manager is desperate to keep at his club in this transfer window.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall Liverpool latest

Liverpool have been credited with interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall recently (Football Transfers). The Leicester City midfielder is in great form having made 18 goal contributions in the Championship already this season.

And he is the subject of interest from other clubs as well. However, Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett speaking on Good Morning Transfers has revealed Leicester’s manager is unwilling to let him go.

“It’s really interesting to see what happens. No disrespect for Brentford or Brighton but if one of the big guns from the Premier League or Europe came in with a bid for Dewsbury-Hall then we may see a flurry of activity and a market because Leicester are sailing a little bit close to the wind with the profit and sustainability rules, they can’t really strengthen without losing one or two players.

“So to that end they are interested in deals for a number of players. The thing is Dewsbury-Hall is certainly not one they want to sell and they won’t entertain offers for him unless it’s a very big offer.
The truth is no they can’t [afford to lose him right now] and Enzo Maresca has made that very clear to his bosses as far as I understand behind the scenes. He has scored nine goals and has nine assists in the Championship this season.”

Based on those comments it seems like Dewsbury-Hall could stay at Leicester City at the end of the season. Which means, a move to Liverpool could still be on the cards if the Reds are interested come the summer.
