The whole football world went into shock on Friday when Jurgen Klopp revealed his intention to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. It’s something Liverpool fans are still trying to get used to.
But amid the whirlwind of emotions there was a game to be played. A game against Norwich City, which was an opportunity to put everything aside and just focus on the moment. There will be plenty of times to mourn Klopp’s departure, but for now fans must savour every moment left.
And there were plenty of positives for Liverpool on the night. A big victory, full throttle Klopp football and youngsters making their mark. On top of that, a few players returned from injury, including Andy Robertson. And it was the Scotsman who spoke to ITV after the game about his reaction to Klopp’s departure.

Andy Robertson’s honest reaction to Klopp’s departure
Speaking to ITV after the game, Robertson revealed that he was shocked to hear about Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool.
“It was a bit of a shock. You have to respect the decision. He’s thought long and hard about it. For what he’s done for this club, we will always be forever grateful,” Robertson said.
It’s interesting that just like the rest of us, it seems Robertson was also surprised by Klopp’s decision. It just goes to show how professionally Klopp has conducted his business. He made that decision to leave the club at the end of November. Yet he hadn’t even given any signs about it away – even to his own players. That’s a credit to the type of man that he is.
