‘Outstanding’ 21-year-old Liverpool player could benefit from Jurgen Klopp’s departure at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s departure at the end of the season is a devastating blow for Liverpool. Replacing him is a gargantuan task. One that almost seems impossible to do.

He has been so integral to everything that has gone well at Anfield over the last decade, it’s difficult to see anyone who could do the same job that he did. Especially because Klopp is such a unique character. Someone who so easily understands the ethos and core values of the club.

But now Liverpool must move on. There must now be a plan in place for what happens next at the end of the season. And somehow, some way, the club’s staff have to find a manager they believe has it in him to fill Klopp’s void at Anfield.

It’s a change no one will have wanted. But there is no denying it’s a change that could benefit one player in particular, who hasn’t had it easy recently.

Fabio Carvalho could benefit from Klopp’s departure

Even though Jurgen Klopp has described Fabio Carvalho as an ‘outstanding’ prospect, the Portugal U21 international has never really been favoured by the Liverpool manager. Despite making a bright early start to his Liverpool career, scoring against the likes of Newcastle United and Manchester City, Carvalho rarely featured in the second-half of last season.

Not suited to play the winger, nor quite suited to play in midfield, in Klopp’s system there has never quite been a place for him in the team. But now that system could change, and that means Carvalho’s Liverpool career could start anew.

He will begin with a fresh slate with whoever comes in through the doors at Anfield. And now he can use the next six months at Hull City to prepare for that. Getting himself in the best shape and form possible in order to prove that he still very much has a bright future ahead of him.
