Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp surely won’t find himself out of work for long.

The Reds boss has made the shock decision to leave Liverpool this morning, and will depart at the end of the current season.

It’s a huge surprise for Liverpool fans in the midst of what is turning into a very good season. Now, it will take on so much more significance.

As the dust begins to settle on what has been a crazy morning, journalist Christian Falk has looked ahead to what the future could bring for Jurgen.

“Germany is sad for LFC for the upcoming resignation of Jurgen Klopp,” Falk writes on X.

“Now we hope that after his sabbatical Jurgen will take over the job of our national coach for the 2026 World Cup.”

Klopp tipped for Germany job

This really feels like the most likely way for Jurgen to go. Given that he clearly feels a little burned out from the pressure of club management, a national team job is surely on the cards.

With the German national team currently in a bad place, there have already been calls for Klopp to take over for the Euros this summer, played on home soil.

Now that he’s due to leave Liverpool, that has suddenly become a possibility.

However, an emotional exit from Anfield will not be long in his past. Surely the tournament would come a little too soon for Jurgen.

It must also be mentioned that Germany do currently have a manager, and a very good one at that – Julian Nagelsmann.

However, still a very young coach, you get the impression that international management has arrived much sooner than Nagelsmann would like. If a job comes up, you could see him leaving for it.

Maybe, the Liverpool job?…

A swap between Liverpool and Die Mannschaft would feel like a far, far better deal for the Germans at this point. But with Liverpool now flailing to replace Klopp, you can’t rule anything out.
