Since finding himself in the Liverpool first-team, things have been going rather well for Conor Bradley.

His excellent display against Fulham last night was his third start in a row. Having also done well on his Premier League debut on Sunday, Bradley is the toast of the town at the moment.

But according to the man himself, he’s still finding some parts of being a Liverpool player a little tough to adapt to.

He may have locked down a master like Willian last night, but Bradley told LFCTV after the game that he’s still getting to grips with the quality in training for the Reds. And with one player especially – last night’s tie-decider Luis Diaz.

“He’s not easy to go against in training, I’ll tell you that!” said the 20-year-old, when asked about Diaz’s current form.

“Lucho’s been unbelievable the last couple of weeks, hopefully he just keeps scoring goals for us.”

Going up against the likes of Diaz every single day is only going to benefit Bradley in the long-run.

It’s an often underrated part of of coming through at a top club. But if you’re in training at a side like Liverpool, you’re going to be encountering some top, top players on a regular basis.

Clearly, testing yourself against those superstars is going to force you to up your game. Then, come the weekend, when you’re facing off with – in theory – weaker players, you should be ready.

So far in his little run in the first-team, Bradley has shown himself to be very ready indeed.

Biting in the tackle and relentlessly enthusiastic, the Northern Ireland international is as tenacious a full-back as Liverpool could wish to have.

If he keeps his standards high and doesn’t get complacent, Bradley is going to get even better.

As for Diaz, it would be nice for some of these displays on the training pitch to start translating a little more into game day. The Colombian has certainly improved of late, but his output still isn’t quite where it needs to be.

After a tumultuous time for him personally though, maybe Diaz is still working his way towards top form. Hopefully he’ll get there. The 27-year-old no doubt won’t be relishing facing the tireless Bradley every day in training, but this can only be beneficial for Liverpool.
