Liverpool supporters are once again revelling in reaching the Carabao Cup final.
The Reds will have the chance to win their 10th title in the competition next month. Their current haul of nine is already a record.
It’s that kind of history which led Liverpool supporters to bring an eye-catching banner to Craven Cottage last night. A banner which has caught the attention of both Adrian and Jurgen Klopp.
“Imagine being us,” reads the flag, in a nod to Liverpool’s glorious, trophy-laden status.
It isn’t the first time the banner has been seen, far from it. But it does appear to have cause a bit of a stir online.
Taking to X after the game, back-up goalkeeper Adrian, who was on the substitutes bench last night, shared a photograph of the banner in the stands last night.
“Love this. YNWA,” wrote the 37-year-old, alongside a tears in eyes emoji. Us too, lad. Us too.
Liverpool fans take centre stage
Surprisingly, Klopp was also asked what he thought of the Liverpool supporters’ message in his post-match interview.
“There are worse situations, definitely. [That’s] clear” said the manager, of being a fan of the club.
“But, look, I can tell you it’s completely fine for our fans to feel it like that. Absolutely fine. I’m really happy and pleased for them. But we play in three days against Norwich. That’s my problem, if you want. Four days. But then three days after that we play Chelsea and then Arsenal.
“So, yeah, imagine being us and playing all the games we have to play! That’s not as enjoyable as watching it but it’s fine. Absolutely fine.”

Ironically, it’s probably the experience of playing all of those games which puts Liverpool in such good stead to go as far as possible in every competition.
Fulham manager Marco Silva referred to that in his own post-match interview. Silva suggested that the Reds’ experience of such ties gave them the upper-hand last night. With the Cottagers playing in their first ever League Cup semi-final, there was always going to be nerves.
For Liverpool – and their fans – this is the norm. That should never be taken for granted, and Klopp is the kind of manager who makes sure his players know just how lucky they are to be involved in these big games.
As they dream of silverware this season, Liverpool fans have every right to feel justified in their gloating. Top of the league, in the Carabao Cup final, through in Europe, looking good in the FA Cup. Imagine being us.
