Liverpool have been in great form, and the Reds are cruising at the moment. Things cannot be any better than they are right now for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Liverpool are still in contention and very much fighting for every trophy.

And while on the injury front, there are still several key players sidelined, there are others on the way back. In the mean time though, Jurgen Klopp will have been impressed by the amount of players who have stepped up in the absence of key players this season.

From fringe players to academy stars earning a promotion and showcasing what they are made of. This season has been a show of the strength in depth Liverpool have at their disposal. And recently another young talent has proven that point.

talkSPORT pundit impressed by Conor Bradley

With several injuries in the full-back department, Conor Bradley has needed to step-up and has started Liverpool’s last two games. Both have been tough encounters. Fulham in a League Cup semi-final was always going to be a tough one. An in-form Bournemouth side in great form away from home is not easy either.

Yet in both games, Bradley has stepped up and delivered performances to remember. Against Fulham, he was one of the best players on the pitch. Meanwhile, against Bournemouth not only did he catch the eye but he also registered an assist.

Now former Liverpool defender, Phil Thompson has been signing his praises on talkSPORT.

“It’s great isn’t it, we’ve got injuries, he gets asked about them at every press conference but he doesn’t go on about them,” Thompson said.

“We’ve got about nine out for one reason or another, this is where young lads get a chance. Jurgen [Klopp] has not been slow to give the boys a chance to train with the first team.

“Conor Bradley has been absolutely terrific. I think he got man of the match against Fulham in the first game, what a terrific game he had. Yes, he made a mistake, slipped over when Willian scored, but what a player he’s been.”

Thompson is right, Bradley has been exceptional, and the exciting part is that this is just the beginning. The sky seems to be the limit for the youngster.
