Jordan Henderson was not the only former Liverpool player who moved to Saudi Arabia last summer. Several others followed him to the Saudi Pro League as well – including Roberto Firmino and Fabinho.
But now the former Liverpool captain seems to be moving on from his adventure in the Middle East. According to the latest reports, Henderson is on the verge of signing for Ajax.
It’s a surprise move for Henderson. His time in Saudi Arabia has been extremely brief, and with little succes on the pitch. Henderson has struggled with his performances and his side are currently linger in mid-table.
His departure from the league has thrown up questions about whether others could follow suit. Roberto Firmino’s name has been mentioned. But Fabrizio Romano has now given his verdict.

Roberto Firmino latest
According to Fabrizio Romano unlike Henderson, Roberto Firmino is not planning to leave his club in this window.
The Brazilian has made it very clear to Al Ahli that he intends to stay.
Firmino’s time at his new club hasn’t been too fruitful either. He’s actually struggled with an injury since arriving in Saudi Arabia, and while he scored a hat-trick on his debut – he is yet to score since.
He’s been in and out of the team with players like Gabri Veiga and Firas Al-Buraikan in great form and keeping him out of the starting XI. But despite that, it looks like Firmino is ready to fight for his place and get his career in Saudi Arabia back on track.
