Liverpool prefers to conduct its business in the summer transfer window. However, every now and again, when the opportunity arises, the club will seize on it.
Major January transfers are not expected at Liverpool this month. But there is always the possibility of that changing, and the club is always pursuing opportunities in the market.
One such opportunity may have already arisen for Liverpool according to the latest reports in Sweden. And it looks like a potentially very exciting move for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Momodou Sonko to Liverpool?
According to Fotboll Direkt journalist Ola Gustavsson Liverpool are among three clubs in RB Leipzig and Bologna who are making strong moves to acquire Momodou Sonko this month.
The 18-year-old is one of the best up and coming talents not just in Sweden but Europe as well. He impressed this season in the Europa League completing the third most dribbles (7.72 per 90) out of wingers in the competition.
At senior level, he already has 22 goal contributions in 44 games – which is an incredible amount of experience for someone of his age.
Liverpool’s interest would not be a surprise. Several years ago, Sonko spent a trial at Liverpool’s academy. So it seems like the Reds may have been keeping an eye on him for a long time.
