Liverpool are not expected to be active in the transfer market this month. The club will only react if a long-term target becomes available on the market. Similarly to what with Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo during the last two January transfer windows.
That’s always how Liverpool have done business over the years under FSG. The summer is the priority for the club. When the players have a chance to spent crucial time on the training ground with Jurgen Klopp in pre-season.
So for now, signings shouldn’t be expected in January. Although that could change as the window progresses.

Michael Olise on Liverpool’s radar?
According to the latest reports from ESPN, Liverpool are interested in Michael Olise, who could leave Crystal Palace in the summer. However, at this stage the likeliest destination for Olise would be Manchester United, who are willing to involve Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the deal.
It makes sense that Crystal Palace would not want to part ways with Olise in January. The exciting talent reportedly has a £60m release clause according to Football Transfers.
Considering, how impressive he has been this season and last year, Olise definitely warrants that price tag.
Liverpool do need a player who can play in that right-wing position – which is why the club might be tempted to pounce for Olise and lure him away from Manchester United’s grasp.
This one is definitely one to watch.
