There are many players who attend trials at Liverpool. There are few who eventually end-up signing for the club.

At academy level, Liverpool is known for inviting talents from around the world to spend time at the club, and for the academy coaches to assess their level.

Back in 2019, a 15-year-old Brandan Craig was one of those teenagers, who was invited on trial at club.

Craig spent a week at Liverpool as per The Northeast Times, and impressed according to the report with his ‘humble’ personality.

Since then, he has gone onto captain the USMNT at U20 level, including at the recent U20 World Cup. However, now it seems he could join the club’s rivals instead of Liverpool.

Brandan Craig to Everton?

According to Philadelphia Union Beat reporter Jose Roberto Nunez, Craig is currently on trial with Everton at the moment. And there is a potential of a ‘permanent move’ on the cards for the USMNT U20 international.

Craig has made just one senior appearance for Philadelphia Union’s senior team, who compete in the MLS.

He is only 19-years-old and very highly rated. Although he struggled for game time while on loan at Austin FC last season – failing to make a single appearance for the club.

In remains to be seen whether he will join Everton on a permanent deal. Ultimately, Liverpool are well-stocked in terms of young talents in Craig’s position – so this doesn’t feel like that much of a loss. Especially with the emergence of Jarell Quansah this season.
