Massimiliano Allegri has praised rumoured Liverpool target Kenan Yildiz after the teenager scored his first goal for Juventus.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder was handed his first start for the Old Lady this weekend in the striker position, with Yildiz scoring against Frosinone what would be a 2-1 win for Juventus.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Yildiz in recent weeks, with the Reds reportedly interested in making a move for the Turkish international.

And speaking to the press via Black, White and Read All Over, manager Allegri was full of praise for Yildiz’s performance on the weekend and his first goal for the Italian giants.

Allegri said about Yildiz’s first goal for Juventus: “I am happy for Yildiz, Dusan and the whole team. It’s an extraordinary group that never gives up.

“Yildiz is young and has enthusiasm, which is needed at these moments. He is wise for his age. I picked him when Chiesa got injured, he is Chiesa’s natural replacement.”

Yildiz might have only just scored his first senior goal for Juventus, but it’s pretty clear already why the likes of Liverpool are interested in the teenager.

The German-born wonderkid is one of Europe’s most exciting talents and is now firmly established on the radar for Liverpool having now scored his first goal for Juventus.

And heading into 2024, it could be hard for the Old Lady to keep hold of Yildiz if the attacker can continue to score at the highest level in Italy.

Indeed, Liverpool could dip into the market next summer to sign an attacker, and Yildiz might be a good option for the Reds if the forward continues to perform.
