Didi Hamman has admitted he is now worried about Darwin Nunez’s form for Liverpool after going over a month without scoring.
The 24-year-old Uruguay international started off the season with a bang, with Nunez quickly looking like the striker that every Liverpool fan thought the former Benfica man would become.
However, Nunez’s form has dried up massively in recent weeks, and speaking on TalkSport, Hamann has now stated that he is now really worried about the Liverpool no. 9’s form.

Hamann said on the form of Liverpool players: “Well I do like Endo, I saw a lot of him in Germany and he scored a good goal a couple of weeks ago, so I think he’s adapting to the pace of the Premier League now.
“Szoboszlai had a very good start to the season, he’s gone pretty quiet now and Gravenberch is a capable player. I think they missed Mac Allister, who is probably the best player in midfield so far.
“But I think the bigger issue is probably the form of Nunez since he scored those goals away to Newcastle where I thought he’s coming into his own and he will be the striker that everybody expected him to be. I think he’s only scored one or two goals [since then] and his form is a bit of a worry I think.”
Liverpool need to start getting the best out of Darwin Nunez

Nunez’s form in the first few weeks of the season suggested that the South American agent of chaos had turned a new leaf and was going to start hitting goals for fun.
However, with no goals since the start of November and none in the Premier League since October, things are starting to become worrisome for Nunez.
Whilst there is plenty of football coming up for the striker to find his best form, Nunez knows he has to start finding the back of the net if he is to regain the trust of Liverpool supporters and the team.
Indeed, fixtures against West Ham and Arsenal this week could produce a goal or two for Nunez, and the forward needs these big performances more than anything going into 2024.
