Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has admitted that Mohamed Salah made things difficult for him yesterday against Liverpool.
The 31-year-old winger was overall disappointing for the Reds on Sunday as Liverpool were held 0-0 at home against the Red Devils, with Salah being labelled as ‘sloppy’ by Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville.
However, speaking to Bein Sports, Onana highlighted how hard Salah made things for him between the sticks, with the Liverpool winger constantly putting pressure on the United shot-stopper.

Onana said: “We want them to press because we know they press with high intensity and I like it when they press with high intensity. I make sure I pick the right choice and right moment, and I have to wait for the right move from my players.
“I look what Jonny is doing, what Harry is doing, what Rafa is doing, Mainoo. So my midfield are moving so I have to pick the right choice and I have to see if one centre-back has jumped to our midfield, so I have to recognise that situation as soon as possible.
“There are so many things I have to try and scan before they give me the ball, I also have to try and see everything before they give me the ball because it is not easy receiving the ball under pressure from Salah but it’s nice. I like to do this.”
Mohamed Salah will be mad he couldn’t beat Manchester United’s Andre Onana for Liverpool

Heading into this fixture, every pundit and fan was predicting a Liverpool washout, with Salah seemingly set to add to his 200-goal tally on the weekend.
However, the £34m winger instead endured one of his worst performances yet for the Reds, with Onana standing strong between the sticks for United and keeping an unlikely clean sheet at Anfield.
Indeed, United will be pleased with how they did on enemy turf this weekend, and Salah will be kicking himself over how poorly he performed in one of the biggest games of Liverpool’s season.
