Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville were both critical of Mohamed Salah’s performance for Liverpool today against Manchester United.

Having made history last weekend against Crystal Palace, Salah was again named in Liverpool’s starting XI in their massive Premier League clash at Anfield against English rivals United.

However, the 31-year-old winger was far from his best this afternoon, with Salah misplacing a lot of easy passes and lacking a real attacking spark against an underwhelming United side.

And speaking on Sky Sports coverage of the match, both Carragher and Neville were critical of Salah after another sloppy pass in the opening half.

The former Liverpool defender said on Salah’s passing: “Salah and Szoboszlai have been so sloppy in dangerous positions.”

With Neville adding moments later when Salah overhit yet another easy pass down the wing: “It’s like they have their boots on the wrong feet.”

Given all the storylines that were being played up heading into tonight’s game, Salah will be fuming with his performance for Liverpool against United.

Having made history last week, Salah could have followed up his heroics against Palace with a masterclass performance against United in front of a sold-out Anfield.

However, instead, we got what could be one of Salah’s worst performances for Liverpool in recent years, with the winger failing to do anything of note.

Indeed, Salah will want to forget tonight’s performance as quickly as Liverpool fans want to, and the £34m forward will be keen to bounce back against Arsenal next week.
