Trent Alexander-Arnold has now shared how he really feels about playing in central midfield for Liverpool in the future.
The right-back has returned to an inverted fullback role in recent weeks and has once again proven to be a stroke of genius from Jurgen Klopp for his Liverpool system.
Alexander-Arnold was the star of the show against Fulham earlier in the month having already played a key role in Liverpool getting a point against Manchester City.
And speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the England international has now revealed that he can picture himself playing in central midfield in the future for club and country.
With the 25-year-old already one of the best technical players in the Premier League, a transition into midfield would make sense for Alexander-Arnold, and the defender seems to know it.
Alexnder-Arnold said: “I think that’s probably the path and the route that I’m on. Ultimately, not my decision, but I enjoy playing in the middle of the pitch and just want to help the team win games, to be honest.”
