Callum Wilson now loves what he’s seen from 25-year-old Liverpool star

Callum Wilson has lauded Trent Alexander-Arnold’s recent performances for Liverpool after a Man of the Match display on Sunday against Fulham.

The defender scored an unofficial brace at Anfield as the Reds came from 3-2 down to win 4-3 in dramatic fashion, with Alexander-Arnold scoring the winning goal.

It was one of the right-back’s best performances this season, with Alexander-Arnold building from his goalscoring heroics against Manchester City a week prior.

And speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Newcastle United striker Wilson was full of praise for Alexander-Arnold, who has been at his best for Liverpool in recent weeks.

The England international said about the 25-year-old right-back: “Trent is showing he is a top player and drowning out all the noise of any critics.

“He has always been prime Trent but you get the odd person who will try and put him down because he’s a nice guy, quiet, he’s an easy target. But now he is just doing his talking on the pitch and showing what a player he is.”

Indeed, Alexander-Arnold is on fire at the moment, and fans will want to see the defender on the scoresheet yet again tonight against Sheffield United.
