Kostas Tsimikas has detailed what he now thinks about Andy Robertson returning from injury, with the Liverpool defender due to be back in action next month.
The Scottish left-back has been out for some time now after being injured on international duty, with Tsimikas shocked to hear about the news as it happened.
Yet speaking to the Mirror, the Greek superstar hinted that he is excited for Robertson to return to action, with the defender expected to be back in time for the start of 2024.

Tsimikas said: “I always enjoy playing – even the bad games! I try to enjoy every moment because every game is a big opportunity. Of course, I am really enjoying playing more often now. For me, it is something very big to play for this club and I will give my best.
“But I want Robbo – and Robbo wants me. It is not possible for one player to play all the games. Right now I am really enjoying playing and want to keep focussed and hungry for the next games. I always feel I can play. I’m not thinking when Robbo is coming back or who is going to play.
“I hope all the best for him to come back as strong as before. We will see, no one knows. I just always try to be focused to try to do my job as best as I can. Everybody must be fully ready, always. I think every player in the squad wants to play every time but, as I said before, you cannot play all the games.”
Kostas Tsimikas could still be preferred over Andy Robertson

Robertson is clearly the first-choice left-back at Liverpool, yet based on Tsimikas’ performances for the Reds in recent weeks, Jurgen Klopp could be keen to stick with the Greek Scouser.
The 27-year-old defender has hardly put a foot wrong in recent weeks, with Tsimikas making the left-back position his own in Robertson’s absence.
And heading into 2024, there’s a good chance that Tsimikas could retain the starting role even if Robertson is fully fit to feature yet again for Liverpool.
Indeed, changing a winning formula shouldn’t be on Klopp’s mind, and Tsimikas has proven that he can be trusted upon with the Scottish international out of action.
