Liverpool could reportedly move for Kylian Mbappe next summer if Mohamed Salah is sold to Saudi Arabia.

The Egyptian winger is strongly rumoured to leave Anfield next year, with a blockbuster offer set to be made to bring Salah to the Middle East from Liverpool, ending one of the great Premier League legacies.

As a result, Liverpool need an exceptional replacement for the winger, and according to TeamTalk, Mbappe could be lined up as a successor to Salah on Merseyside.

Lauded as ‘world-class’ by Virgil van Dijk, Mbappe’s future remains one of the biggest talking points in all of football, with Liverpool often linked with a move for the PSG and France captain.

However, with the likes of Jamie Carragher urging the attacker to leave the Ligue 1 giants as soon as possible, Liverpool could be a dream move for Mbappe if Real Madrid can’t afford the deal.

Indeed, Mbappe is easily the best player out there for Liverpool to sign as a replacement for Salah, yet even if the winger is to be sold to Saudi Arabia for over £100m, a deal for the Frenchman could be hard.

Given the astronomical amount of money Mbappe already earns at PSG, Liverpool signing the forward even as a free-agent could take quite some work next year.

Whilst the sale of Salah could easily bring in as much as £100m, Mbappe’s wages and signing on fees might just be more than what Liverpool make from offloading their 31-year-old superstar.

However, although the finances might still be hard for Liverpool to grasp, a deal could be worth it in the long run given just how good Mbappe is.

After all, we’re talking about one of the best attackers in world football and a player who looks destined to win a Ballon d’Or, and Liverpool can’t pass up an opportunity as good as this next summer.
