Mohamed Salah is reportedly set to leave Liverpool in 2024, and journalist Fabrizio Romano has now detailed if the winger will depart Anfield in the January window.
The 31-year-old attacker has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with Liverpool rejecting a club-record bid in the summer for Salah from Al-Ittihad.
With Liverpool reportedly anticipating their star winger to leave next year, Salah exiting Merseyside now feels like a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ as we creep towards 2024.
However, according to Romano, a move in January is not on the table, with Liverpool retaining the same position they held over Salah in the summer transfer window that the attacker is not for sale.
The Italian transfer guru said when asked about the forward leaving Liverpool in January: “From what I’m told, Liverpool will retain the same position in the January transfer window.
“Liverpool have no intention of letting Mo Salah leave in January. With crazy money, anything can happen, but as of right now, Liverpool have the same position.”

Salah’s future has remained a massive talking point amongst Liverpool fans since the summer of transfer madness that was this year.
The winger has show this season that he is still the best attacker at Anfield and still arguably in a league of his own when it comes to right-sided forwards currently playing in Europe.
With Liverpool firmly in the title race this season, it’s no wonder why the Reds aren’t willing to let Salah leave in January, with the Egyptian key to Jurgen Klopp’s potential success this campaign.
Indeed, Salah is simply too good to be sold this January, and with the summer being earmarked as the window for the attacker to leave for Saudi Arabia, patience could be a virtue for Liverpool.
