Cody Gakpo seriously impressed with what he has seen from 21-year-old Liverpool player

Cody Gakpo has detailed how impressed he has been with Ryan Gravenberch since the midfielder arrived to Liverpool this summer.

The 21-year-old Dutchman joined the Anfield giants on deadline day as Liverpool managed to get a deal across the line with Bayern Munich to sign Gravenberch.

Whilst not a guaranteed starter yet for Liverpool, the Ajax academy graduate has shown excellent signs in his first few games with the Reds under Jurgen Klopp.

Winning praise from the likes of Pep Lijnders, Gravenberch has all the makings of becoming a superb player for Liverpool in the years to come, and Gakpo has been impressed with what he has seen.

Speaking to the press via journalist Ian Doyle, the 24-year-old attacker was full of praise for his fellow countryman and how he has adapted already to life in the Premier League.

Gakpo said about Gravenberch: “He is a really good player, I think he is comfortable with the ball and can receive it and turn. I think he is a great player.”

Gravenberch might not have played as much as he has wanted to since arriving at Liverpool, but there’s no denying that the midfielder has impressed since signing.

Most fans didn’t know what to expect from the Dutch international when Gravenberch was finally signed on deadline day, yet performances have been pleasing for the majority of supporters.

And with Gakpo now clearly a huge fan of Gravenberch’s impact at Liverpool, the winger can now help his fellow countryman in really leaving his footprint on this Reds squad.

Indeed, Gravenberch has all the qualities to lead Liverpool’s midfield, and help from the likes of Gakpo will be key in the Dutchman becoming a star for the Anfield side in the years to come.
