Jurgen Klopp has been urged to start Darwin Nunez for Liverpool in their upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The 24-year-old striker was in scintillating form over the international break, with Nunez being hailed as ‘excellent’ by Lionel Messi and scoring three goals across Uruguay’s two FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
And Don Hutchison has now suggested that Nunez should lead the line for Liverpool against City, with the forward in the form of his life.

The ESPN pundit said when asked if Nunez should start on Saturday: “I’d play him all the time. I think it’s the only way you’re going to give him confidence.
“If you drop Darwin Nunez when he has a bad day at the office and misses one or two, I don’t think he lacks confidence, but what you wouldn’t want to do is take him out of the team so he has to double-fight his way back into it.
“What I mean by that is that when he comes on the game after he is trying too hard, and running too hard and snatching at chances. I think what you do with Nunez, and bear in mind this is only his fourth season at the top level, you keep playing him.”
Darwin Nunez could be a real threat for Liverpool against Manchester City

Nunez has really kicked on for Liverpool in recent weeks, with the striker leading the line in chaotic and entertaining fashion that has made the forward a cult hero at Anfield
And heading into Saturday’s clash, the Uruguayan superstar could be the ideal man to start for Liverpool in the front-line, especially with Nunez coming off such a productive international break.
With City facing injury problems, now might be the best time to face the reigning Premier League champions, with Nunez in the type of form that makes him deadly to any defence.
Indeed, the forward will want to make a statement on Saturday, and Nunez knows that being named in the starting XI will give him the confidence to perform in Liverpool’s biggest game this season.
