Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, who is currently out on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to FootballTransfers, the Reds have joined the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United in chasing the 21-year-old forward, who has impressed in the Premier League this season.
Fati joined Brighton this summer in what was one of the most surprising transfers of the entire window, yet the decision has worked out well, with the winger settling well on the English south coast.

As per the report, though, Fati’s main priority is to return to Barcelona next season and to establish himself back in Xavi Hernandez’s first-team plans.
However, should the Barcelona coach want rid of Fati, Liverpool could be a destination for the winger, especially if Mohamed Salah was to leave Anfield for Saudi Arabia in the summer.
Indeed, this isn’t the first time the youngster has been linked with a move to Liverpool, and heading into 2024, interest could only intensify as Fati’s future becomes more of a talking point.
Liverpool should consider Ansu Fati if Barcelona choose to sell

It’s easy to forget that Fati is just 21-years-old, with the winger now firmly on the way back to the top having lost his way a little bit at Barcelona last season.
And if the Catalan giants choose to sell the winger next summer, Liverpool will have to really consider a move for Fati, who could be an exceptional replacement for Salah.
Young, versatile and dynamic, Fati ticks a lot of boxes for what Jurgen Klopp is looking for in a winner as well as in a successor for the Egyptian King.
And with Barcelona likely to sell Fati for cheap, a bargain could be claimed in the window, something Liverpool have become exceptional at in recent windows.
