Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants to lure Leroy Sane to Liverpool in 2024, with the Bayern Munich superstar eyed as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

According to Sky Germany, the Anfield boss is a big fan of the Germany international, with the 27-year-old being targeted as a potential successor to Liverpool’s no. 11 next year.

Salah has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia having failed to make the blockbuster move to the Middle East this summer, and Sane could be the man to replace the Egyptian at Liverpool.

The former Manchester City man has been rumoured with a move to the Reds for some weeks now, and this latest update seems to indicate that Klopp is keen for a transfer to happen if Salah departs.

Indeed, the Bayern forward knows the Premier League well and is currently enjoying his best season yet with the Bundesliga side under Thomas Tuchel and alongside Leroy Sane.

And a move to Liverpool could be suited for the winger, especially with Klopp himself now keen to bring the German superstar back to England via Merseyside.

Replacing a player as important to Liverpool as Salah could be a fools errand, with the attacker simply one of the best players to ever wear the famous Reds jersey.

Yet Sane could be as good a replacement as they come for the Anfield giants, and Klopp knows that he has the power to transform the winger into something beyond what he already is.

The Liverpool manager’s track record with the likes of Salah, Sadio Mane, Luis Dias and Diogo Jota should speak for itself, and Sane will be Klopp’s latest success story if a transfer can be arranged.

Moreover, a return to the Premier League could appeal greatly to the Bayern winger, especially if the Bundesliga giants once again come short in the UEFA Champions League this season.
