Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has shared his opinion on new teammate Alexis Mac Allister.
Mac Allister has been a Liverpool player for a little over five months now, having made the jump from Brighton in the summer.
So far, it’s been a positive start for the 24-year-old who’s started all but one Premier League match for the Reds.
Seemingly relaxed, humble and very down to earth, Mac Allister has been a big hit with his new colleagues. Although he appears closer to fellow South Americans like Darwin Nunez, Salah’s comments about Alexis show that he’s mixing well with everyone.
“He’s a really nice person and also very professional but related to football he’s really aware of everything in the game,” Mo enthused via liverpoolfc.com.
Mo gives Mac Allister approval
It’s quite rare that you’ll hear Salah come out and talk about his Liverpool teammates. These days, it actually feels quite rare to see him talking publicly at all.
So, Mac Allister must be making a very good impression on Mo for him to speak so well of him.
That’s hardly a surprise, though. The Argentine has enjoyed similar comments from the likes of Lionel Messi in the recent past. He’s obviously someone top players appreciate playing with.
As he grows into his role at Liverpool, it’s likely that that feeling will continue to devleop.
In his short Reds career so far, Mac Allister has managed to register two assists. One delightful one for Nunez and another for Diogo Jota.

He hasn’t yet linked up with Salah to goal-scoring effect, but hopefully when we see Macca move further up the pitch, that will eventually be the case.
For now, the World Cup winner will continue to make his case from a deeper-lying role.
With a nice, four-month stint set to take place before the next international break, hopefully Mac Allister can use that to get even more settled in.
We expect to see the best of our No.10 over that period. As for Mo, well he’s a superstar, enough said.
