Jurgen Klopp has detailed the severity of Ryan Gravenberch’s injury, with the midfielder not travelling with Liverpool to Toulouse for their UEFA Europa League clash.
Speaking to the press, the Anfield boss revealed that the Dutch youngster has only picked up a small knock, with Gravenberch expected to miss just tonight’s fixture and potentially Brentford on Sunday.
Klopp said when asked about the midfielder’s absence from the squad: “Ryan got a niggle in his knee, he’s running already, but there’s no chance he plays this game, maybe Brentford, definitely after.”

Lauded as ‘special’ by Pep Lijnders, Gravenberch has impressed immensely for Liverpool since joining on deadline day from Bayern Munich.
And the youngster potentially missing the next two games will be a big blow for the midfielder, especially heading into the international break, where Gravenberch is expected to be recalled by the Netherlands.
However, despite the injury being a small one, Liverpool have made the right decision to keep Gravenberch at home for tonight’s fixture, with precaution needed for the 21-year-old.
