James Maddison has sent Trent Alexander-Arnold a message on Instagram after Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Fulham last night.
The England international tagged the Liverpool defender in his story, alongside Jordan Henderson and Jude Bellingham, with the caption ‘Sheriffs’.
Maddison and Alexander-Arnold have quite the friendship, with the Liverpool fullback recently pranking his Tottenham rival with a video of him scoring against Leicester City.
Despite last season’s pain with the Foxes, Maddison has been reborn this season in north London as the new Tottenham no. 10 under Ange Postecoglou.
The midfielder was on the scoresheet last night as Maddison took Tottenham back to the summit of the Premier League standings, with Liverpool sitting three points behind in fourth place.
Indeed, it’s been a season to remember for Maddison, and banter off the pitch with Alexander-Arnold shows that the Tottenham star remains in good spirits, despite the shenanigans on international duty.
