Fabrizio Romano has shed some light on Liverpool’s reported interest in Victor Osimhen, with an agreement not yet in place despite rumours this weekend.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, the transfer guru revealed that the Reds are interested in the Napoli superstar, but a deal is far from being completed.
Osimhen has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, with one report even suggesting that the Reds had reached an agreement on personal terms with the Nigerian.

However, it appears that this claim is wide of the mark, though Liverpool do remain interested in the £150m-rated Osimhen.
Romano said when asked about Liverpool’s interest in Osimhen: “Reports of an agreement with Liverpool are not true.
“For sure, Liverpool and many other clubs are keeping an eye on the situation of many strikers. But at the moment for Osimhen, nothing is agreed and nothing is decided.”
Liverpool should expect strong competition for Osimhen

Osimhen is set to become the most in-demand striker in the world next summer, with the forward expected to leave Napoli in 2024.
And for Liverpool, they will have to brace themselves for plenty of competition for Osimhen, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs all expected to make a move for the Nigerian international.
Indeed, Liverpool will need to put on quite the pitch if they’re to win Osimhen’s signature, and there’s every chance that the battle has only just begun for the forward.
