Chelsea reportedly remain strongly interested in signing Victor Osimhen despite recent rumours that Liverpool are chasing the striker.

According to TeamTalk, the Blues are keeping a close eye on the Nigerian international’s situation at Napoli amid a season where the Italian giants have found themselves in hot water with Osimhen.

As a result, there’s a strong chance that the £100m-rated forward will leave Napoli next year, with Chelsea one of the many sides interested in the striker.

However, recent reports have now suggested that Liverpool are interested in signing Osimhen, a move that will catch many by surprise given that the Reds are hardly in the market for a centre-forward.

Indeed, the race to sign the Nigerian is heating up, yet Chelsea seem unmoved by Liverpool’s interest in signing the Serie A superstar.

And this update could be a blow for Liverpool, with Chelsea one of the few sides in Europe who could afford Napoli’s asking price for Osimhen in 2024.
