Reported Liverpool target Youssoufa Moukoko is set to be available on-loan in January.
Moukoko looked likely to leave Borussia Dortmund last summer, with Liverpool heavily linked in the months leading up to the window. In the end, the 18-year-old ended up signing an extension to stay at Dortmund.
But since then, Moukoko has hardly played. Having featured for just 47 minutes in the Bundesliga this season, 90min report that the Germany international will push for a loan move in the New Year.
To that end, it’s claimed that Liverpool are ‘long-term’ admirers of Moukoko. However, the Reds are reportedly unlikely to make any move to bring in the forward.

Jurgen Klopp seemingly has other priorities. Instead of looking at the forward line, Liverpool are said to be keen to ‘beef up’ their central midfield and central defensive options in the winter market.
This reportedly won’t deter Moukoko and his agents, who are claimed to be hopeful that one of the Premier League’s ‘big six’ will bite.
Chelsea are reportedly seen as the most sympathetic option, although there is said to be concrete interest from both Brentford and Wolves.
Liverpool not interested in Moukoko
For the time being, there seems to be little point in Liverpool entertaining Moukoko and his agents.
The Reds forward line is very well stacked. Barring injury to a Darwin Nunez or a Diogo Jota, it’s hard to see how the Dortmund man would get minutes at Anfield.
That isn’t to say that he wouldn’t have his uses, though. Moukoko has been described as a ‘crazy’ talent by former Liverpool man Emre Can [Fansided].

Still only 18, he’s sure to develop further into a superb forward.
Right now though, unless the terms of a loan deal are incredibly favourable, there seems little point.
If it were a permanent deal being discussed, then that would be a slightly different matter. Although he may not be immediately in Liverpool’s team, Moukoko would be well worth having long-term.
But temporarily, over half a season, there’s little upside for the Reds. Still, something to maybe keep an eye on.
