Cody Gakpo returned to Liverpool training today, though Andy Robertson was absent after picking up a shoulder injury on international duty.
As per Football Daily, the Dutch international was back at Kirkby after missing the last few weeks due to injury after picking up a knock in Liverpool’s controversial 2-1 loss to Tottenham.
Despite Gakpo returning to training, though, Liverpool have been dealt another injury blow in the form of Robertson, who this week was seen wearing a protective arm cast after being injured with Scotland.
As a result, Kostas Tsimikas is expected to be in the starting XI this weekend to face Everton, whilst Gakpo’s return will be a massive boost to Liverpool’s attacking ranks.
Lauded as ‘special’ by Liverpool’s official website, the Dutch international has been impressive for the Reds this season, and Gakpo’s return to Liverpool in training will be seen as a massive boost for many.
