Liverpool want to sign ‘phenomenal’ player who Gravenberch named as the best talent he’d ever seen

Liverpool could be encouraged to sign Germany forward Jamal Musiala, as he isn’t happy with life at Bayern Munich.

Musiala is one of the best young players on the planet. At just 20, the former Chelsea academy star has already won it all with Bayern. Not only that, but he’s widely seen as being a potential Ballon d’Or candidate in the future.

Impossible to get out of Munich then, you might think? Well according to Sport BILD, it may not actually be as difficult as it seems.

The German outlet report that having been in and out of the starting XI at the Allianz Arena this season, Musiala is not happy. It’s reportedly a ‘dangerous situation’ for Bayern, who are also in the middle of contract talks with Musiala.

With a deal still to run until 2026, there doesn’t seem to be a huge rush. But nevertheless, BILD claim that ‘top clubs’ have been alerted to Musiala’s situation.

One of them is said to be Liverpool. The Reds are claimed to have had the former England youth international on their list ‘for a long time’ and would be interested if he became available.

So too, supposedly, would Real Madrid. Los Blancos are said to be keen to pair Musiala up with former England pal Jude Bellingham. For now, the young man is reportedly ‘too polite’ to express his anger at being dropped publicly, but he’s said to be angry all the same.

Musiala not happy at Bayern

If Musiala really does become available next summer, then Liverpool have to be in the mix. He’s not necessarily the profile of player the Reds badly need right now, but he’s a potential superstar.

As well as being described as a ‘phenomenal’ player by Jurgen Klinsmann at last year’s World Cup [The Daily Mail], Liverpool have recently been given a recommendation of the player from much closer to home.

Ryan Gravenberch’s Q&A with Sky Sports last week was interesting for a number of reasons. But with this new information coming to light, his penultimate answer should now gain some attention.

Asked to name the most talented youngster he’d played with during his career so far, Gravenberch singled out his former Bayern teammate.

“This one I will go for Jamal Musiala,” smiled the 21-year-old. “He does crazy things in training and also in the games. He’s very good for his age, so I will choose him.”

Questioned whether the Germany international could win a Ballon d’Or during his career, Gravenberch was also positive.

“I think one time in his life, yeah,” said the Liverpool midfielder. “Of course he will improve and improve so there’s a good chance.”

Maybe he’ll win one while playing alongside Ryan in Liverpool red? We can dream.
